The Pinewood Derby Pit Carrier starts with three pieces of wood. Each of boards are 3/4" thick. One board is 3-1/2" wide and about 2'-6" long. The second board is 2-1/2" wide and about 2'-6" long. The last board is 1-1/2" wide adn about 1'-0" long.From these three boards you will cut six pieces of wood. You will also need some 3d or 4d nails (3d is pronounced "three penny".) And you will need a hammer, a saw and some glue.
